Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides real-time information and investigative support to law enforcement personnel;
• Deploys and operates drones as a First Responder (DFR) to provide live aerial intelligence, improve response efficiency, and enhance situational awareness during active incidents;
• Collects, organizes, and analyzes data from calls for service, field interview reports (FIRs), arrest reports, intelligence sources, and other agencies to identify crime patterns, series, and trends;
• Identifies potential persons of interest using FIRs, community contacts, arrest data, Department of Corrections release reports, and other investigative resources;
• Prepares and disseminates analytical products (bulletins, maps, memos, alerts) summarizing relevant information and findings;

• Integrates analytical materials into weekly CRIMEMAPS meetings using maps, charts, and other visual tools to highlight emerging trends;
• Supports investigations, patrol, and specialized units through the use of research tools and technology platforms;
• Prepares and distributes photo lineups upon request;
• Assists dispatch operations by assisting with BOLOs, monitoring License Plate Reader (LPR) systems, and entering tags as appropriate;
• Monitors live camera feeds and drone video streams to assist with critical incidents and ongoing calls for service;
• Reviews, downloads, and preserves video footage for use in investigations;
• Prepares and distributes statistical reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) as required;
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
 

Special Selection Criteria:

  • Must possess a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Experience using Law Enforcement CAD and or Records Management Systems is preferred.
