Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; advising managers; and managing relocations and intern program;
  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs;
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport;
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruiters, and using newsgroups and job sites;
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements;
  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.
  • Manages intern program by conducting orientations; scheduling rotations and assignments; monitoring intern job contributions; coaching interns; and advising managers on training and coaching;
  • Avoids legal challenges within recruitment by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting training;
  • Designs and implements overall recruiting strategy;
  • Develops and updates job descriptions and job specifications;
  • Performs job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives;
  • Prepares recruitment materials and posts jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges, etc.;
  • Sources and recruits candidates by using databases, social media etc.;
  • Screens candidates resumes and job applications;
  • Conducts interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule;
  • Assesses applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes;
  • Onboards new employees in order to become fully integrated;
  • Monitors and applies HR recruiting best practices;
  • Provides analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team;
  • Acts as a point of contact and builds influential candidate relationships during the selection process;
  • Promotes Agency’s reputation as “best place to work”;
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Selection Criteria:

  • Graduation from High School or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma recognized by the State of Florida; AND EITHER
  • Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field AND one (1) year of experience in HR Full Cycle Recruitment (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter); OR
  • Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field AND three (3) years of experience in HR Full Cycle Recruitment (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter); OR
  • Five (5) years’ experience in HR Full Cycle Recruitment (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter) (preferably in Public Sector)
  • Must have valid Florida Driver’s License.

Special Selection Criteria:

  • Must possess a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Must have hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS)
